we bought our house about 6 months ago, and we have been going through and remodeling the rooms one at a time. The house was built in 1978, and it looks like it hasn’t been updated. Ever!!!
This past weekend we decided that it was time to rehab the lower level 1/2 bath. Here are the photos and where we bought the supplies. The first thing we did was remove an old toilet, vanity, and sink.
Then we torn out some old carpet. The carpet had been there probably sine the 80’s. Can you imagine how much pee that carpet had in it?
Then we put in a new American Standard Toilet.
Next we put in a new vanity and sink combination along with a delta faucet. We put in some new sconces.
We added some decor and it was done.
I think when it is all totaled up we have about $700 in the remodel. I don’t think that is very bad at all. I wish I had taken some before pictures, but I didn’t so oh well.
Here is the list of stuff we used:
- Flooring – $.99/sq. ft.
- Vapor barrier – $29.98
- Vanity/Sink Combo
- Delta Faucet – $79.00
- Toilet – $129.00
- Paint – $29.98
This job took us a weekend, and we are super happy with the fruits of our labor.
Good luck with your projects.
